We’re in an early, generative phase — which means there’s room for the right kinds of involvement. While we could certainly use volunteers to do weeding, we’re hoping to find collaborators who share the same general values as us (this website is a good indicator) to help develop this place into an exciting community asset. We’re not running structured programs yet. What we are open to is people and projects that bring genuine overlap with what we’re building.
Ways to Get Involved
Land & growing If you have experience with agroforestry, native plant propagation, soil science, or permaculture design, we’d like to hear from you. We’re especially interested in people who want to be on-site in some capacity — whether short-term or longer.
Technology applied to agriculture and food systems — from soil sensors and crop planning software to distributed growing networks. & The decentralized web — internet infrastructure built on peer-to-peer protocols rather than centralized servers, prioritizing resilience and user ownership of data. We’re interested in decentralized tools, Software designed to work offline and store data on the user's own device, syncing peer-to-peer rather than depending on a central server. , and technology that actually serves small-scale land operations. If you’re working on something in this space and want a real-world context to develop or test it, let’s talk.
Research & documentation We want to document what we’re doing rigorously — soil data, plant performance, microclimate observations. If you’re a researcher or student looking for a site, or someone who’s good at building knowledge systems, there may be a fit.
Workshops & programming We’re open to hosting or co-producing learning experiences that fit the farm’s context: agroforestry, ecology, food systems, relevant technology. We’re interested in programming that builds something lasting.
How to Reach Out
Send us a note with a bit of context about who you are and what you have in mind. No formal proposals required — just enough that we can have a real conversation.
